  • I think someone is using my Yahoo!?

I keep getting e-mails that I've answered a best question. But I have not even been on Yahoo! Answers in months, and I do not recognize the question as something old that I once answered. How can this be possible? No one has access to my computer. Why would anyone hack in or whatever just to answer questions? It's too weird.

  • What is it about the way Jeffrey Donovan (of Burn Notice) speaks that reminds me of Jerry Seinfeld?

When I'm in the other room and can't see the TV, sometimes I would swear it was Jerry Seinfeld. But when I watch the whole show, it's just sometimes that he really reminds me of him. If you watch his mouth, it even looks like Jerry Seinfeld's mouth moving. It's weird.

  • Anyone willing to share with me their feelings upon waking up from surgery and finding they are intubated?

I recently had surgery and apparently there was difficulty when they extubated me (bronchiospasms) and I was quickly re-intubated and placed on a ventilator. I woke up several times in recovery while intubated and had quite a traumatic experience. I now have so many awful feelings that I can't deal with and haven't talked to anyone about. Feelings of panic, fear of suffocation, sleep disturbances, fear of falling asleep, bouts of crying. I have asthma and possibly sleep apnea, so the breathing issue is an ongoing thing with me that I will need to follow-up with a doctor about, but these feelings of terror are invasive and I want to hear from anyone else who has exerpienced this so I don't feel so crazy.

  • Can you always definitely diagnose a stroke?

My mother had some leg numbness and says it now is weaker than her other leg. There were no additional symptoms that would point to stroke, but they did hospitalize her for tests. CAT scan, MRI and doppler of heart and carotid arteries did not show anything. Neither did blood tests. Dr. said it's possible that a small stroke can slip by. He didn't say it definitely was a stroke.

I want my mom to look into other possible causes, such as something neurological -- possibly beginning of MS or anything -- just in case she should be getting treatment for something that isn't being diagnosed.

She gets furious when I "insinuate" that it wasn't a stroke, because she is hell-bent that it was. She would prefer to just say she had a stroke, even though they didn't say it certainly was.

Should you assume temporary leg numbness followed by weakness was a stroke when nothing else defines it as that?

I'd like to hear from anyone in the medical profession or anyone with a medical history of stroke.

  • In the movie "Inside Man," how did Clive Owen's character know?

I can't stop wondering (maybe I missed something), how did Clive Owen's character know that the banker was a war criminal and that he had those jewels and kept that paperwork identifying himself as a war criminal? How did he know it was kept at that bank and in a safety deposit box? Why wouldn't he have presumed it was kept at the man's home or his office? I can't see how I missed all this explanation of how he knew all this information. Did I fall asleep?

  • Where do our representatives stand on the war?

Can anyone refer me to a good web site where I can easily see where various elected representatives to Washington stand on issues such as the war?

I've searched but can't really find what I'm looking for in a way that is concise and easy to find.

  • What's the difference between an ipod and an mp3 player?

I know I'm really showing my age here, but I don't care. I just want to know what's what. And, if you were an 18-year-old girl, what is the minimum amount of songs you would want it to hold for it to be any "good" for you? Last-minute Christmas shopping. Thanks for the help.

  • Can you help with Excell?

When using it to create address labels, I type in the zip codes of some states that start with a 0, but when I leave that cell, it automatically deletes the zero!

    13 AnswersSoftware1 decade ago
  • What program should I make address labels on?

I have Microsoft Word, Works, Excel, etc., all the typical things, and I don't want to have to buy any software for this. Even though I've never had any reason to put an address database into a computer and print out lables, I presume there's already something in there that's good (and easy) to do this on. Advice, please? Thanks!

  • What are some funny lyrics to songs that you've heard mis-quoted?

Like, I knew someone in high school who, when the song Forever in Blue Jeans would play, she would sing, "For Reverand Bluejeans." It's hysterical when people are so sure they know the words but they are wrong. My daughter used to sing "patches and kisses" for Passionate Kisses when she was little, because she had no frame of reference for what the real words might be.

  • Will you please do more to help stop this than just hitting the report button?

If you see posts that are very detailed and offensive in regards to child abuse and child pornography, won't you please help rid this site of it by writing to the Yahoo! Answers team at y_answrs_team@yahoo.com with the subject line STOP CHILD ABUSE and tell them about the user profile you'd like them to examine for possible permanent removal?

For more details, please take a look at tiger_lily57's profile for the question posted on how we all need to band together to stop this.

It doesn't matter what level you are. You have the power to do this to protect this site.

    Thank you.

  • Why does the public always have such a hard time believing a celebrity has died?

Do you think we ascribe traits to them that are somehow more than human? I mean, look how many years it's been since Elvis died and there are still so many people who actually believe he's alive somewhere. And now, with this news of Steve Irwin, everyone's first reaction is that it must be a hoax. I just wonder why we react that way.

    The guy is freakin' amazing!

Solid answers, Raju! Kudos! I bow before your coveted level-7-ness. I am so not worthy.

  • Did anyone else stop getting the e-mails that notify you of a Yahoo! Answers best answer?

I didn't get e-mails about my last three "best answers;" I just saw them when I went into my profile.

  • How do blog ad sites recognize computers to count the clicks?

I know you can't go on your own site and have the page views or ad clicks count, so I know they can somehow tell "who" is accessing it. But is it by information in the computer itself or from the internet service at a physical location? Like, at a house that has multiple computers or at a library or school, if readers from different computers are accessing your blog and clicking, are those all being counted, or does it appear as if it's all coming from the same place so they don't count it?

  • Can you tell me where online I can find a full alphabet of Formal Copperplate Script?

I need to see the full upper and lower case alphabet and the numerals for a calligraphy project I am working on, and everything I find on the font just shows the first several letters and then tells you where to buy the font. I don't need to buy the font, as I have to hand write these invitations.
