Is Harry Turtledove for real????

I have just finished "The Grapple",his tenth in alternative history series and found remarkable similarities in his story line to that what actually happened inWW2.To me this painted the South in a bad light and the Southern President as being no better than Adolf Hitler.Your thoughts please....Particularly Southerners???

That's what I like so much about Turtledove's "Southern Victory" series, it is so close to what really happened that it could have really happened. His twists are so slight, that if one or two things he writes about had happened for real, the world might have turned out like his stories. He's great at What If? alternate histories.

I love Harry Turtledove's alternative history books. They really make me think about the events that really happened, and I have to consider the ramifications of those events and the things that might have been if only circumstances had been different.
