What is your opinion on stem cell research?

Stem cell research, for the most part, uses fertilized eggs that would be discarded anyway from fertility clinics. In my opinion, if one is going to be upset about those eggs being destroyed, then one should also legislate that those fertilized eggs must be raised into children.

The state should feed, clothe, and educate these millions of fertilized eggs. Isn't that a thrilling thought? I'm sure the GOP will find something to do with those that would be raised into 'humans'. If they can't send them off to war, they can use them as slave labor instead. Especially since they want to kick out all the illegal immigrants. Ahh... a GOP world. What a beautiful vision.

Let those crazy scientists at those eggs instead, and you might actually get a cure for some of the most horrific diseases that are currently killing mankind. Or go for the GOP vision. Whatever you can live with later. When your parents have Alzheimer's.

It's not that simplistic.

Embryonic stem cells are not producing any results. None. Money is wasted on research there.

Adult and umbilical cord stem cells are producing results. All the money should be going there. This type of research is not under fire from anyone. Not the Republicans, not the Christians - no one.

Everyone wants to see new cures for disease. Where the money is spent is at issue. Whether you want to side with conservatives or not on the embryonic stem cell research is kind of pointless. It doesn't work anyway.

This is not an issue of curing diseases. If you research the topic you will find no cures or treatments have been discovered with embryonic stem cell research which is what 2 is about. The proponents say they are banning cloning yet are not. They are lying to you. and murdering millions of babies for this so called research. Please study this issue and vote no on 2

Yes, I am for Stem Cell Research, in the future this may mean a longer life span for some and for some it may mean an active life instead of sitting in a wheel chair.

I really think the it's time for the people who would vote against stem cell research to remove their collective heads from their collective butts.

yes ........ on anything that would find a cure for Alzheimer ....... Parkinson's ......... cancer ......... does it seem strange to anybody that all the negative commercials ........... the strong objection are from abled bodied people ............. what right have they to comment on an issue that doesn't concern them? why don't we let all the sufferers of THESE DREADED DISEASES VOTE ON IT?
