Can I reinstall Windows XP Pro from an XP Home installer disk?

I'm trying to reinstall XP Pro, but my cd has a scratch on it. I have a copy of XP Home Edition as well, can i use this cd to install XP Pro using my XP Pro serial number?

Update:

"ofcourse.. u can even install it from Windows 95 or 98 SE cd.. idiot."

That's probably the most retarded thing i've ever heard! Someone trying to suggest that when microsoft realeased windows 95 in 1995 they also included the installers for windows XP on the disk, even though it wasn't invented untill about 5 years later... and apparently i'm the idiot.

    No, you can't.

The Home installation will reject the Pro serial number.

no longer a raffle. The XP abode Activation Code in basic terms woks with an XP abode deploy disk. in case you like help, please completely clarify why you haven't any longer have been given your unique XP disks. And, in the journey that your questioning "the XP disks did no longer incorporate my computing device" let us know the computing device make and type selection, considering the fact which you probably did no longer study the computing device person handbook.
