What's all this "this answer is below your threshold" malarkey?

I wasn't aware I had one.

You can set a threshold so that you only see answers that have a certain thumbs up/thumbs down ratio.

There's a dropdown box to the top right of the answers that allows you to select -2, 0 or +2 as your threshold, or no threshold. setting at -2 means you won't see answers where two more people have given it a thumbs down rating than have given it a thumbs up. So on for the other ratings.

It's just a way of getting at the best answers, in the view of the yahoo public, instead of getting absolutely everything. Handy for celeb questions etc where there are hundreds of answers, many of which don't make much sense.

Other users have given those answers more than two thumbs up, and Yahoo! thinks that the rest of us don't want to read something that someone doesn't really rate. If you want to view all answers, just click the appropriate choice from the drop down menu above the answers.

I'm starting to hate this question even more than the dismal 'is my avatar pretty' one. Can you not do a search and look at the hundreds of other similar questions that have been asked over the last few days? or go here http://messages.answers.yahoo.com/answers/threadvi... to the forum and learn what's going on

It means the answer is hidden. If youll click on the box underneath the question, that says SHOW, you can set things the way you want...so that wont come up anymore.
