This is kinda gross (I appologize) but I am incredibly curious. What makes human feces turn green?

Bile makes feces turn brown, so lack of bile would make it stay it's original green color. You may have a gallbladder issue. Do you get an upset stomach or excessive belching after greasy fried foods? You will notice babies will have green stool frequently because their digestive system is not yet fully developed and their gallbladder is not functioning at adult capacity.

If you eat a lot of grapes or drink a lot of grape juice, the pigments will make it turn green (even purple grapes).

It's usually cause by something you drank or ate. I know grape colas will turn it green. Weird, huh?

i think that's a really good question iv been wondering for a while now and i have this friend from church that is a nurse and she said its not normal but its hard to believe it happens to me allot especially when I'm having m period but from my opinion i say its what you eat and something to do with iron

Sometimes it can be caused by what you eat. (i.e. Spinach)
