Can't be that hard, or Muslims wouldn't be so adament about immigrating now would they?
If you have to get in the steroetypical "hard luck, poor me" line, be polite and kindly wait your turn behind the blacks, indians, mexicans, puerto ricans........
As far as your future is concerned, it doesn't matter what religion you are. I guess it's easy for me to say, I mean after all I'm a white anglican male. Life couldn't be easier. It's great being a religion where you never have to face personal obstacles in your life and absolutely guaranteed to have a succesful career and be rich no matter how lazy and incompetent you are.
Man, I don't know how you people handle this pressure. I'd probably end up hanging myself if I was in your shoes.
Sincerely,
Typical racist white person.
PS- In case you haven't noticed I feeling a little cynical today. You'll have to forgive me, some muslims were caught trying to blow up my city recently, I guess they too were having a hard time finding jobs.

If you are appropriately qualified and experienced there should be no problem in finding a job, especially in fields such as medicine, nursing, law, teaching (especially science/maths) , microbiology, etc.. Of course, competition for less skilled jobs will always be present, irrespective of cultural background, and is nothing to do with overt racial discrimination.
Many senior Muslims will tell you that the UK is one of the best places to be a Muslim, even though there are occasional tensions brought about by a minority of Muslims insisting on their cultural traits/customs taking precedence over the British way of life. (The teaching assistant who insisted on wearing a veil when teaching mixed classes is a case in point. You have probably read about this.)
But, in general, any discrimination (if it can be classed as such) is often the result of the deliberate 'separation' from British society perpetrated by some Muslims... but the majority simply get on with their lives, just like any body else.
I have taught Muslim college students and found them to be exactly the same as any other student. I also have several Iranian friends (professionally qualified, I admit) who find there are no problems and often talk about 'our country' (meaning Britain).
So I suppose the real answer to your question is that those Muslims who come to the UK with a determination to 'fit in', who accept that they are not living in an Islamic country, who, while enjoying the democratic freedoms established over many centuries do not plan to change them for something more Islamic, will find that the UK is not a bad place to live.

I don't think there is in general, but there are always exceptions to the rule. Discriminating against anyone due to their religion, colour, race, gender, sexual orientation or disability is illegal here in the UK which means that minority groups have a lot of legal protection.
However, I think its fairly apparent that there are certain sectors where Muslims tend to be employed more than others - IT and accounts being good examples. But these are still well paid areas so I'm not sure its had too much of a negative impact.
I think Eastern European Muslims probably suffer the most as that is like a racist double-whammy.

Of course there is not unless you are a terrorist.
The problem at the moment is that every time a terrorist is suspected they turn out to be Muslim, and that is not the fault of the other denominations or that of peaceful Muslims.
But, being British we have to put up with criticism because they say, 'We the Muslims are being targeted'.
They want equal searches to be made among all the population.
To please them this would mean that twenty non Muslims, ie Jews Cof E Catholics Hindus and so one would have to be searched at the same time.
We the true Brits think that is wrong if all the maniacs who commit suicide are Muslims. Wouldn't you?
This is then fed to you and the world that we are biased against Muslims when we are not.
It also appears to us our government does somersaults if the Muslims cry out, where-as we can scream our heads off and they won't take any notice.
Example
A Brit walks out of a pub with a table leg in a sack ready to mend his table when he gets home. One phone call to the police by his mates for a joke and he is shot dead.
They think he is carrying a gun.
Headlines one day, dismissed the next, finished.
A Muslim becomes suspect and it costs millions of pounds to make sure no mistakes are made, and if there are then Muslims want a Government enquiry.
Well we don't think that is fair. Do you?
We don't even know of another religion that sends its followers to die? Are we wrong to believe their videos?
It needs all the Muslims to rise up and sling their suicide mob out.
We can't do it and they need coaxing to do so.
We want this, we want that consideration to prove it's worth it.
Can you wonder why we are peeved?
Would you believe it is your country if you were British?
We don't.

Long before the twin towers were destroyed, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets had both a very high unemployment rate and a very high Muslim population.
The Muslim population in this area refused to learn English and lived separate lives, largely supported by benefits. One news item that I remember told how three council flats were converted into one to accommodate the four wives and numerous children - all at our expense.
Their eagerness to change this country, extract special privileges and bring legal actions makes the Muslim community a pariah that has earned every ounce of discrimination that is receives.

I don't think there is discrimination towards Muslims in the UK. As long as you are prepared to adapt to the UK culture and work hard, (as anyone would, not just Muslims, but anyone coming to the UK) then you will be able to get a job.

Discrimination is unquestionably based upon each and all the detrimental issues you examine or hear approximately and that has a tendency to create an unfavourable opinion, that's a complete false impression. Our comments are consistent with people who're outcast, rebels and terrorist in different Nationalities. This blinds us to the certainty that it isn't maximum persons of those Societies inflicting this subject and themes. An occasion, inspect the events of 911 and the hatred it has led to or each and all the mindless killing happening interior the worldwide.

I don't think so.
Religion has never mattered when I've hired people. Also there are loads of muslims across different cultures with different skin colours. I wouldn't even know if I was hiring a muslim or a catholic or an atheist or whatever.
A strong accent can make a difference though. Communication skills make a big difference. I have turned down applicants whose grasp of English wasn't good enough.

Of course there really is not that much Racism, Isamaphobia out there, the media whip these up to sell TV time or news papers. In the UK we are one of the most tolerant countries in the world, yes there are exceptions but true of any other society/race/religion you want to name.
Work hard, be pleasant to people, obey the rules and you will get on, Cause problems for others and you will have problems. It is true everywere and for all people.

Islamic terrorism is inspired by Islamic teachings. We can never get rid of Islamic terrorism unless we defeat the ideology behind it and that is Islam itself. Islam induces hate backed by lies. Muhammad was a terrorist by his own admission. All Muslims, to the extent that they follow him, are terrorists. Those Muslims who are not terrorists are ignorant of Islam and are not good Muslims. Fortunately they are the majority. We need to rescue them. If you are a good human being, you are not a Muslim. Read this site and if you can't prove me wrong, which you certainly can't, leave this deceitful cult of hate and terror and join mankind. Don't be part of the Umma. Umma is fascism. It is divisive. It induces the hatred of others. Be part of humanity instead. Your ignorance is not an excuse. Pull your head out of the sand and face the truth, like we did.
Terrorism is not an ideology, it is a tool; but the terrorists kill for an ideology. They call that ideology Islam.
The entire world, both Muslims and non-Muslims claim that the terrorists have hijacked "the religion of peace" and Islam does not condone violence.
Who is right? Do the terrorists understand Islam better, or do those who decry them? The answer to this question is the key to our victory, and failure to find that key will result in our loss and death will be upon us. The key is in the Quran and the history of Islam.
Those of us, who know Islam, know that the understanding of the terrorists of Islam is correct. They are doing nothing that their prophet did not do and did not encourage his followers to do. Murder, rape, assassination, beheading, massacre and sacrilege of the dead "to delight the hearts of the believers" were all practiced by Muhammad, were taught by him and were observed by Muslims throughout their history.
If truth has ever mattered, it matters most now! This is the time that we have to call a spade a spade. This is the time that we have to find the root of the problem and eradicate it. The root of Islamic terrorism is Islam. The proof of that is the Quran
