Can I use THIS salicylic acid?
I saw this bottle at our drugstore, it has the same size as a small bottle of hydrogen peroxide. however, this thing is labeled as salicylic acid, for corns etc. Can I use this thing for my face to treat pimples?
*sorry, no pics*
I live in the Philippines, so most of the products in the US aren't available here

you should check the concentration of the salicylic acid in the bottle and make sure it's about the same as acid used in face cleansers, acne stuff, etc. The labels should tell you what % of solution the acid is. Otherwise it might be too strong to put on your face.
Since you saw it at the drugstore, you could also ask the pharmacist if it's safe to use.

Salicylic Acid is used to treat acne. You use it 1 -2 times daily, by applying to the the pimple and it dries it out. You should check the percentage of the salicylic acid. If it is safe to use if it is 2% or under. If over 2% then you should check with a skin care professional.

I would check the percentage of salicylic acid on the bottle. I purchased a 1 percent gel at Ulta last week. I don't think I would use a product meant for my feet on my face, no matter how strong or weak the solution.

no! it is much too strong and will chemically burn your sensetive facial skin- the stuff for corns and feet are for removal of dead skin only- like corns and callouses, that do not have live nerve endings or feelings
it will be terrible on your face and most likely very painful.
stridex makes medicated cleasing pads for you face, they have the right amount of salicylic acid for sensetive facial skin.

no, that stuff is used to remove warts and corns, IE is not suitable for pimples unless you want to kill off your skin cells and leave a huge deep hole in your face. Whatever you DO NOT use this on your face, I am an ex beauty therapist, so I hope you take my advice on this one! If you don't you could seriously damage your skin.

No because Acne is caused by oil clogging the pores and if you were alergic to salicylic acid then your face would be itchy and irritated.

That sounds a bit drastic. I would stick with the kinds that are specifically labeled for acne. If you are that concerned about your skin perhaps you should visit a dermatologist, they have excellent prescription treatments and your insurance might even cover it.
