When was the last time we fought a war on our own
Iraq and Afghanistan: 20-30 countries
Vietnam: Korea, Britain
Korea: U.N. Forces, Britain
WW2: The Allies
WW1: Britain, France, Allies
Revolution: Britain, France

We basically defeated Japan in WW2 on our own with very, very little help from anyone. Europe was on it's knees in WW2, with Britain on the brink of surrender before we came in and once we got involved we captured more land in 3 months than Hitler had captured in the three previous years, I'd count that as a victory.
In Korea, N. Korea had help from USSR and China, and that war went back and forth before both sides agreed to stop fighting but considering our odds I think we did alright.
Vietnam yes was a waste.
The "war" in Iraq took all of what, 10 days? before we took Baghdad.
Two things you need to consider.
1. Every battle we've been in has been on our opponents home ground, meaning they have great advantages in knowing the terrain, weather, people, etc. Also, people defending their land are more likely to fight harder than people taking it.
2. Our enemies don't fight fair, yet we go through great lengths to try and protect civilians. And how are you suppose to win a war when you can't shoot at your enemy until they've already shot you. The reason WW2 was so successful was because we didn't care about civillian casualties, we did what was neccessary to win, bottom line. Today there are so many bleeding heart liberals who would rather see American troops be killed than some fanatic Muslim that it makes it virtually impossible to get anything done.

Other people go to war with us to fight an enemy because we do the same or did the same for them. Or we are just allies and they want to get our back in exchange for being able to exploit American consumers just a little bit more with foreign goods lol.

In the 20th and 21st century almost every nation fights a war with allies. I'm hard pressed to think of any major war where only two countires were involved. Can you think of any? We all need a little help from our friends.

Good grief. You are the first ones to whine for our help when you get into trouble. The Americans have defeated the Spanish in Cuba and had no help in defeating the Japanese in WW2. I hope you didn't forget the Am. Revolution when we beat Britain's finest.

If we were aloud to come down to the level of our enemy we would win hands down but we have to fight it like human beings against 4 legged animals
