I HAVE FOUND WITH MY 5 MONTH OLD BOXER THAT IF I CAN KEEP HIM UP THROUGH OUT THE DAY AND NOT LET HIM TAKE NAPS HE SLEEPS ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT. BUT I HAVE ALSO TRIED A NON-TRADITIONAL METHOD I LET "SOX" SLEEP WITH US AT NIGHT AND I DON'T HAVE TO HEAR THE WHINING AND CRYING. HE CURLS RIGHT UP BY MY HEAD AND AND DOESN'T MOVE OR MAKE A SOUND UNTIL I GET UP. ALSO MAKE U SURE U LET THEM GO POTTY BEFORE BED TIME THAT'S IMPORTANT TOO. THE ONLY TIME SOX DOES WAKE UP IS WHEN I FORGOT TO LET HIM OUT. U WOULDN'T LIKE BEING STUCK IN A CAGE AT NIGHT EITHER LOL. MY SOX KNOWS WHEN ITS TIME TO SLEEP NOW AND I CLOSE ALL THE DOORS TO MY ROOM SO THAT IF HE DID JUMP OFF THE BED HE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO CHEW ANYTHING UP

Put a crate in a different room or in the kitchen. My grandparents did this with their puppies and it worked. If the puppy just wants to play at this hour (because you didn't say why she wakes you up), then try to ignore the barking because she needs to learn that she can't keep you up at that hour and she will hopefully just fall back to sleep. If its because she has to go to the bathroom, try taking your puppy out for a walk RIGHT before you go to sleep. that way, the puppy should last until morning. also, if you do have to take her out for that reason, when you bring her back in, give her a treat and walk away and go back to the sleep. she might just be thinking that she is up and you should be playing with her. this will also teach her to go back to sleep as well or rest until you get up again. Perhaps give the puppy her favorite chew toy and let her play with that and you silently walk away while she does. This will give her something to focus on and yet still have some fun while her owner sleeps! she is only 7 months old and doesn't know any better and its up to you to teach her this. I hope this helps!

I just got a puppy and she barks all night to sometimes..make sure she is not some where alone like in the basement..i keep my dog in my den and i have a clock by her cage so it sounds like her mothers heart beat..she always used to cry for no reason and the vet said that she probley misses her mom so that what he told me to do. and he told me to get a toy with a hole in it (from petstore) and put peanut butter in it and put it in her cage and that will give her something to do..also make sure that you have a blanket on the bottom of her cage so she can lay on it and take her outside so she can do her buisness every hour fo 2!!

    GOOD LUCK

crate her near the door where you let her out in the morning..

remove food 4 hours before bed and water 2 hours before bed.. make sure she gets out right before bed..this will help her sleep

then even if she does wake up you MUST ignore her.. if you go to her and let her out or even talk to her or yell NO.. this is a reward and is training her to wake up - so you MUST ignore her til morning.. then dont let her know you are coming ... just quick get to the crate and let her out

Sounds like you need to crate train her.

I wouldn't put her in a room by herself, esp. when she knows you're home. That may cause separation anxiety which could lead her to chew or tear something up to relieve her stress.

Have you considered crating her at night in a different room? This may help.

A PUPPY IS LIKE A BABY.THEY DO NOT SLEEP ALL NIGHT AND THEY ARE FULL OF ENERGY.

PUT HER IN A DIFFERENT ROOM, ALL LIGHTS OUT AND MAKE SURE SHE'S IN A CAGE......SHE'LL GET USED TO IT. GIVE THE POOR THING A CHANCE.
