    for the same reason that you drive on a parkway

    and park on a driveway......see? it all makes sense

    Haha, good question. And all the driveway/parkway things apply too.

    I suppose if you want to get technical, you're not supposed to recite lines, you're supposed to SAY them, because reciting gets boring.

    That's because you drive on a parkway and park on a driveway.

    When you cover something you put the cover on but when you peel something you take the peel off.

    We park in a driveway. And drive on a parkway

    And then there's the freeway, but it usually ISNT FREE
