What do you think is the cause of this severe swelling?

This is not caused by any disease and please be warned that the picture does not look so good - a bit scary I should say. Anyone have seen like this before?

    Wow, you were right, it was not a pretty picture, and no, I have never seen anyone so severely swollen (only in my text books). I think that if it's not caused by a disease, then it could be caused by some sort of allergy he has, maybe from a food or plant he made contact with.

    Not sure what it means "not caused by any disease." I suppose that makes trauma top on the differential. At a glance I would have put tumor stage mycosis fungoides on the list of possibilities. Depending on the patient's history, some parasites might be on the list too.
