Why isn't my flash player working?

I am using IE7 and have Flash 9 installed, and webpages say that I need Flash 9. I went to "Manage Addons.." and I checked Adobe Flash, and it was enabled.

    If you didn't restart the computer try that first. If that dosen't work then remove flash and try to install it again.

    Try to restart your PC. If that dosent work then go to the flash media player website and go to help line. Or download a newer version ;)

    oh i know why! switch to windows media player!
