Homosexual discrimination.?

Is it considered discrimination when homosexuals do not have the same rights as hetrosexuals.

(such as gay marriage, even if titled something different such as gay union...with the same benefits then it would be equal rights)

I am speaking of basic rights and not just gay marriage.

Update:

i had a response about not wanting her kids to see this in the park due to morals. so was she was saying she did not want to see unwed parents, parents of differnt race or were you refering to gays being immoral.. (or were you saying it is o.k. as long as we gays stay in the closet)

Update 2:

that was for oh tammi. (maybe your children should see normal gay couples, it could be one of your children be gay and have problems and could not turn to you.... think about it............ it is not a condition that you can change)

"Is it considered discrimination when homosexuals do not have the same rights as heterosexuals." [?]

That depends on who you ask. "Considered" by whom?

One of the vaguest laws in America is the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. If you want to learn a lot about how confused and confusing that Clause is, I suggest you read a book called "The Constitutional Underclass: Gays, Lesbians, and the Failure of Class-Based Equal Protection," by Evan Gerstmann, published in 1999.

It is discrimination...and it is not clear where the line should be drawn although I agree with you that it hurts nobody to let any two people make a contract of partnership for domestic living, whether they are gay or not.

To the discussion of gay marriage, I believe that is reserved for couples of opposite sex. But that is not your question.

I would say it is discrimination, but that's just me. I think a gay couple, committed into a long term relationship should have the same rights as any other couple.

Every law discriminates against the persons who does not agree with it. Speeding laws discriminate against those who like to speed, etc.

One needs a different argument than "discrimination" to determine if a law is ethical. To cry "discrimination" is begging the question.

I'm humored when those who want to legalize gay marriage argue against legalizing polygamy, or incest (between adults) even though the same logic applies. Yet they don't declare anti-polygamy views as discrimination.

What the hell are you conversing approximately?! perchance you will desire to study up on the history of how homosexuality replaced into taken care of interior the previous. You do comprehend that throughout many, many countries international homosexuality remains punishable via imprisonment or dying ideal? you comprehend the word "popping out"? Yeah, it somewhat is a time era used to describe homosexuals who pretend to be heterosexual because of the fact they're terrified of what human beings will think of/do in the event that they knew they have been gay. gay bashings do no longer basically ensue on "uncommon activities", they ensue each and all of the time in all places. Why do you think of there are golf equipment and bars particularly for gay human beings to fulfill? perchance because of the fact it somewhat is risk-free to hit on somebody there with no need punched out. in no way heard the word "those damn homosexuals are taking each and all of the stable jobs" yet I easily have heard "you're a humiliation to the country", "dykes are so disgusting, it somewhat is unnatural and unwell, they'd desire to all only die", "i hate dykes", and, an oldie yet a goodie "i'm sorry yet we don't % you right here, please depart". i've got additionally been spat on and assaulted and get in touch with videoed because of the fact i had the audacity to hold my lady buddy's hand in public. in order that which you comprehend, interior the previous homosexuality has been met with complete social exclusion, dying, imprisonment and beatings. evaluating gay discrimination to black discrimination isn't "over attaining for the sympathy vote", it somewhat is justified.

No its not discrimination. There are laws against people who use drugs, sleep with children, have more than one wife, and lots of things that some people think they should have the right to. This country still has some moral values, however little.

So I should be able to compete with the disabled and women? Absolutely not, they are not a protected group and have no "special rights" including the desecration of marriage.

No, this is the argument that pro gay marriage people use. Marriage is not a right.

Laws are made by the legislature, not the courts.
