Where has my spider gone???

This may look like a jokey follow on from my previous question 'where has my snake gone', but one of my spiders is truly missing now too. He was in a plastic tank on a high cabinet but was knocked off during the night a couple of days ago by my stupid, stupid cats. He is a Zebra Legged Tarantula and is about 2 1/2 years old. I no longer like my living room due to the fact there could well be a rogue snake and tarantula on the loose in here. HELP ME!!!

Update:

The spiders are my husbands which really dont bother me, as long as they are in their tanks that is. I can't even touch a house spider. The snake is mine and i handle her daily, but it is a different matter when you don't know where it is. i don't like things making me jump!

Now you and your pets are all in the same cage huh? They like it quiet, so be quiet. Seal exits well, put your furniture up on blocks and sit on the floor, you'll see them cruising. Get some washcloths wet real soon and lay them on a cookie sheet on the floor, spidey won't last too long without water. Good luck! Things are interesting at your place! Keep us posted!

Well I would say that if you find the snake the tarantula may be in it's belly. I would be FREAKING out if I had a tarantula lost in my house. I really am not a fan of spiders either. Are they attracted to light? Heat? I would say lay a trap for it by figuring out what will attract it and putting that out into the room and hoping that it will come out. I had a humongous spider hanging out on my outdoor light for the longest time and I am pretty sure it was due to the bugs that were attracted to the light, so maybe put the plastic tank on the ground with a cricket in it to attract the tarantula and a light maybe. Good luck!
