I would like to know how I can become more skilled at hockey?

I am 16 years old and i can't play in league hockey because my parents won't let me do this. Does anyone have any tips for getting better? I play at least once a week and I go to stick and pucks when I can. The only thing is the stick and pucks are in the morning and I have to be at school. Thanks for your help.

Get a really good pair of roller blades and a good sliding puck (roller blade pucks with wheels in them) and practice.... Use some cans and skate around the cans while stick handling... For accuracy of shots, I would go to the basement (if unfinished) and shoot the puck....

Take some courses but thee cost a lot of money.... Listen to your coach and other players comments who are trying to help improve your skills.... A lot of players don't listen and think they know everything.... Of course I know 3 of them who could have made the NHL but never did....

Let's see you can't go on the hockey league because your parents won't let you. Go to stick and pucks on weekand mornings and keep watching the sports channel to see how hockey players are so good at what they do. If you have a pond or a lake you could visit to then go for it.

    your welcome

Source(s): My friends are in hockey so they practice alot and they try their best what they can do.

Practice, Practice, Practice, and more practice. Nothing comes easy or is guaranteed for that matter.
