Yes, exactlly as you said, we have two seperate wars going on: the War on Terror, and the War in Iraq. The Iraq War has absolutely nothing to do with the War on Terror. There were no terrorists in Iraq. There were no Iraqis among those who commited the atrocity on 9/11. Iraq posed no threat to the United States. And, as evil, awful and horrible that Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq was, it was stable.

We went into the Iraq War with no provocation, and no good dialogue or strategizing about what the impact of toppling an iron-fisted regime in a highly politically unstable region would do. Hence, we now have sectarian violence out the wazoo. And, might I add, folks who didn't have any real beef against the US now have a nice little excuse. So, now we're pretty well stuck there, because pulling out now, without stabilizing the region, would be disastrous.

So, this big old never-ending expensive occupation is draining both money and troops from the real danger: terrorists. It seems like we are in a more precarious position after invading Iraq.

He's incompetant, i think that summed most things up pretty well. And we are not at 'war' how can you be at war with an ideal? A war on terror should be a war of propaganda and information, if you want to go to war with guns and tanks on Islamic extremists then call it a war on Islamic extremists.

You also have a strange argument, you argue that we should let bush go to war to protect us from terrorists, then you claim there are two wars, one on terror, one in Iraq, so you only really justify (if that) the war on terror, you dont actually justify the war in Iraq which has tenuous at least links to this fictional war on 'terror'
