How do I maximize my home page?

Did a system restore and then had to undo it as I lost a load of files. Now, when I go to access the internet, my home page is minimized. I know it is a silly thing, but how do I set it to maximum and make it stay maximized. (I know I can use the maximize icon, but never had to before)

Use System file checker., open run->cmd and type sfc /scannow

and put the windows xp cd in the drive.

Or, simply use mozilla firefox to browse the internet.

Or, repair windows XP, follow the steps:

If you are using windows XP, you may follow the following steps:

1.Put the CD and press any key to boot from CD.

2.First screen asks whether to enter recovery console by pressing r or to press enter to install windows XP.

    Press ENTER.

    3.Press F8 to I Agree the conditions.

4.Setup detects the previously installed OS and asks to press r to repair or enter to install.

    Press r.

Setup will automatically repair the OS.

After copying some files, system will restart. This time you should not press any key to boot from CD.
