I would have thought that would be high on the list of things to do considering the amount of money it is costing to keep the troops over there. Must be running into billions of $ and its all coming from the tax payer.

Actually, there are more pressing priorities like how to get US troops out of Iraq now and how to implement the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission which the Administration has conveniently forgotten about. There is so much to do to fix the big stinkin' mess Bush has gotten us in first - then we can spend time on apportioning blame and punishing the guilty.

Pelosi said she was investigating the CIA! Here is what I wrote to her this morning!

    Comments: Congratulations on your win!

I would write my representatives, but they have not taken office as we threw out the 2 Republicans, and I am not writing them!

I can tell you what a lot of people want, and I hope you can help!

We want Bush impeached if we win the Senate!

We want the troops out of Iraq! They are nothing but target practice and we are losing too many!

We want our constitution back! That includes habeas corpus and rescinding S.3930 that gives Bush a Get Out of Jail Free card!

We want much of the funding cut out of Iraq!

We want Bush investigated for starting a war by attacking a sovereign nation in violation of the UN Charter and without the authorization of the UN Security Council!

We want the Geneva Conventions followed, and not the meaning that Bush decides to give them! NO MORE TORTURE!!!! NONE!!!!!!! I am a Vietnam Vet and this war makes me SICK!! There is no excuse for what has gone on!

Finally, we want Rumsfeld fired! I have never seen such incompetent perfumed princesses at the Pentagon!

I know some may not be in your power, but that is why we threw the Republicans out, and a close eye will be kept on the incoming congress I can assure you! We won't go through this again!

We threw 2 incumbent Republicans out of office, and we have not had a Democrat in Federal office since 1912! You can tell exactly how angry we are with regards to the past 6 years! No, I don't think you know how angry we are, but you will find out if the Democrats sit and do nothing about Bush and his cronies! We are tired of him not following the laws and the Constitution, and a Republican will not be elected as president!

And treat the Republicans the exact same way they treated you! Thank you and good luck!

I cannot believe there are still people who think Saddam had something to do with terrorist and 9/11!!! HE DID NOT!! Why can't you thick headed people get it?????????????

Bush is a recruiter for terrorists!

I don't think that there is much to be gained from that. Frankly, I don't really see a problem in going to war with Iraq. Just because we haven't found the WMD that we were looking for doesn't mean we shouldn't have gone to war. We have found Chemical and Biological weapones, evidence of genocide, Iraq did shoot at our planes in the No Fly Zone and did not cooperate with the UN inspectors. Not to mention that the fact that IRAQ wanted and was trying to develop WMD was a CLICHE in the 90's.

We went about the war all wrong, but I don't think you can fault us in being there.

Yes because it will lead to Rumsfeld and his Iraq Study Group within the Pentagon that cooked the intelligence.

No, unfortunately we don't have the time.

They need to focus on effectively getting out of Iraq, Catching Osama Bin Laden and other Global Terrorist, Immigration Reform, Reducing excessive government subsidizing of corporations.

We will be too busy and should focus on other stuff. Leave the investigations for a later date.

No. They shouldnt, that will waste money and time that we dont have. They don't need to be petty, they have power and they need to use it to do productive things. Pointing the finger and blaming false intelligence for the war, will not solve the problem. It will only cause anger and resentment. They really do not need to do that, it is not what we need right now.

No matter what answers they would come to half the people wouldnt believe it anyway.

If they fail to, it will be a betrayal of the voters who voted on the basis of the Iraq mess, and a dereliction of responsibility.

I think they will have plenty to investigate...human rights violations among the numerous other investigations.

No. It's history at this point and should really just be left alone. Does it really matter?

Everyone seems to forget about 9/11. They came here first, they killed first. What were we supposed to do? Tuck our tails and hide? They would have continued to destroy America. Bush was right going to war. It is not a popular decision at any time, but if you think about it, that was the only logical thing to do.
