Raid don't work....spiders everywhere under floor boards every crack and crevice. Continually cleaning and hoovering them away but they still come back in their hundreds.

What to do next? At a loss for ideas and have a spider phobia. This is a council owned property and they won't take me serious. Wont send anyone to fumigate the place either. In a panic need advice. Have a plug in device but this job too big for it to tackle. Thanks.

My daughter lives in the UK and her home is being invaded by harvestmen spiders. As fast as she is killing one several others appear. They are taking over..... any suggestions would be most welcome.

Pitfalls to avoid?

The residential area I live in was once woodland. Now they have built all these homes and garden we still have the problem with woodland plants and weeds...........You would not believe what I am fighting to get rid of in my lawn which is made up of thistles, underground elder, stinging nettles, doc leaves, you name it. Another problem is bramble runners they are appearing from everywhere and grow about 12" every couple of days....it is a nightmare. Along with this we have an invasion of red ants and woodland spiders. The whole area is under a blanket of spiders webs 365 days of the year and we have problems with rats too! I have been treating my lawns with "Weed and Feed" but it is not making difference with the weed problem. It is very difficult to grow anything in my garden other than weeds.................any advice would be most welcome. Thank you.

Do you know that Peterborough Council now have the authority to decide what you wear around town while out shopping? Today my husband and I were out shopping, just food shopping and we were approached by two street wardens who said that they had been monitoring my husband during our shopping trip (we went to Asda and Poundland that is all) and told us that the tee-shirt he was wearing was not acceptable due to the wording on the front which might have been misconstrued as offensive and likely to incite a riot!

Today my husband was warned that if he was spotted in town wearing the offending tee-shirt again he would be liable to an £80 on the spot fine! We had not been drinking, we were not exhibiting rowdy behaviour, which is more than can be said of the football supporters who were on their way to a match this afternoon.

I own my own home outright and live here with my hubby and cats. Very soon I will have two spare bedrooms in my home when my kids move out. As I will be losing the rent I charge my kids for these rooms, I really need to raise some regular cash. I don't want to take a lodger, so can anybody suggest how I can use these rooms to raise some regular money legally?

I can see the UK equivalent of New Orleans happening here with all the storms that are battering the UK.

I live on the edge of the fens and it is very worrying. Flash floods have never been this bad in my lifetime until this summer.

The manual is VERY confusing. On one hand they are telling you to recharge it from flat and on another page it tells you never to run it to empty before recharging. I can't get through to the helpline.

Does anybody have one of these things? When do you recharge yours? Also does it really take 12 hours every time to recharge a sweeper that only gives you 40 mins sweeping time?

Both of these activities are considered as gambling in the UK.
