Advice on recharging a GTech Electronic Sweeper?

I purchased one of these: http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.100-1142.aspx

The manual is VERY confusing. On one hand they are telling you to recharge it from flat and on another page it tells you never to run it to empty before recharging. I can't get through to the helpline.

Does anybody have one of these things? When do you recharge yours? Also does it really take 12 hours every time to recharge a sweeper that only gives you 40 mins sweeping time?

    Only the first chatge you recharge from empty. Then you can do what ever after that. Good Luck with your cool new gadget!
