Does anyone know where I can find information on how the tattooing process works?

I need to explain how the ink is injected and how it stays in the skin.

Update:

It's for a research report for school. I have several tattoos myself so I know how it works but I need to give a detailed description. Sort of like a "scientific" explaination of how the needles work and why the ink stays in the skin.

the most informative way would be to go to a tattoo shop and watch a tattoo. it is one of my favorite things to do (watch people get tattooed) but basically the gun makes the needle or needles rapidly go up and down and when the ink is injected into the broken skin it stays there. just like if you cut your hand and rubbed ink into it, it'd most likely stay there forever. maybe go to www.wikipedia.org and type in tattoo and that would be a starting point for you.

I might nonetheless suggest going the microchip direction. The hazard of melanoma may be very very very small. In my opinion, the professionals a ways outweigh the hazard of this con. Tattooing is not used such a lot anymore. The tattoo is tough to look on puppies with an extended coat, so would possibly move neglected if any individual unearths a puppy. (A lot of persons would not even feel to investigate for a tattoo now days, they would seem for a collar with ID tags, after which take the puppy to be scanned for microchip.) Also, the tattoo can distort over the years, generally making it slightly readable. Also, you do not desire to tattoo your touch know-how, given that that may difference. (Are you continue to going to have the identical deal with and cellphone quantity in 15 years?) Most persons get anything like their social protection quantity; or a kennel identifier (whilst I had a puppy that used to be a carrier puppy wash-out, the tattoo used to be the abbreviation of the carrier puppy group after which an person puppy quantity). ADD: Most readers learn a couple of manufacturers of chips. (Since microchips are so normal, they have got been making the readers increasingly common.) The few that are not able to learn the chip know-how will opt for up that there is a chip there, they only are not able to get the quantity; however then the persons are mindful there *is* a chip and the puppy will also be scanned with yet another reader. .
