heat up about a cup of salt in a frying pan - just keep stirring it around to get it hot. Once it's hot, pour it into an old sock and place the sock on our ear (you may have to let it cool a minute or two) The heat from the sock will soothe your pain and will clear the gunk in your ear

I suffered from chronic ear achs as a child up untill I was 17. Take a face cloth and run it under hot water (not hot enough to burn but as hot as you can withstand). Fold it and place it on a towel and lie down with the hurting ear down. Stay that way untill the cloth is cool. Do that a couple times a day. Wipe the ear down of any dampness (do not put anythign inside the ear). Do not use a hair dryer for that can further irratate the ear.

Dillute 3-5 teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide into a cup of water. Put the solution into an ear dropper. Lay your head down on a pillow and put the solution into the ear facing up. Leave for 5 mintues. You'll feel like its bubbling and it will be uncomfortable. Switch ears. While you treat the second, the other will drain onto the pillow or towel. My brother did this every day for a month and hasn't had an ear ache since.

I like to use a drop or two of Olive oil. Like the previous answer lay on your side (at least 5 minutes) then switch ears. The olive oil will loosen some ear wax and it may drain out so be sure to place a towel under your head. It may feel like having water in your ear but there's no fizzing sensation. But if this doesn't work your best bet is to get to a doctor a.s.a.p.

Warm a teaspoon under hot tap water, dry it , fill with olive oil, check oil to see if it's warm and not too hot or too cold, bend head sideways and pour into ear, cork ear up with cotton, heat soft piece of material or use a heating pad on low with a pillow case cover, place it on sore ear with sore ear facing up. Take asprin or whatever pain meds you use. Keep ear warm,no cold air.If your ear doesn't start to feel better you might have a ear infection, your ear will be all red(before you put the warm cloth or heating pad on it).Make a doctors appointment.

This is like so gross these days..and the other answers are more likely to work..but I just wanted to share an old remedy from my grandfather.....

When we were little kids (me and my brothers) and we had an ear infection or ear ache...he would have one of the opposite sex...pee in a little cup then he would use a teaspoon and pour it in our ear.......It has to be from the opposite sex....(don't ask me why..but he said it wouldnt work if from the same sex).....

    Gross huh?...

Sorry you have an ear ache...hope you get some relief soon !!!!
