Personally, I only answer questions that I have experience with. I couldn't really give you the percentage but I must say after reading some, not all, of answers are pretty intelligent advice. I think this is a wonderful thing for people to get advice from all over the place. Sometimes you need a little help or a lot of help to make a decision. And sometimes you don't want to ask anyone close to you or that knows you. No question is a dumb question. If they knew the answer then they wouldn't answer it. Which is why I am answering yours. Not sure about freaking clues?*? But, Yahoo do actually warn us all that they take no responsiblity for answers as they may not be correct. On the whole I think people answer the questions to the best of their ability. If you feel they do not, then don't entrust your question to us. Anyway the site is a bit of fun and a bit of all round knowledge - i.e. life experience. If you want a more formal approach, look up your queries yourself online - then your perception of the answer is down to you. Good luck :)

Except 20 % around 80 % should be having a clue then only answering.

There are many who do though, trouble is, many put ridiculous questions up too so they attract the ones who don't have a clue, many just like to feel like they are adding their bit of knowledge, even if you don't think they know what they are talking about, it's the name of the game I am afraid, if you don't like what some people put, just ignore it, we can't all be as clever as the really clever ones.

If I answered that then I would be one of those people that didn't know what they are talking about. I usually only answer questions I actually know the answer to, unless it is an opinion type of question.

Probably not many...for the most part I don't reply to a quesion unless I have a fairly good idea of what the answer is (or could be) but with some of these questions...you just can't resist asking what the hell they were thinking.

Yeh i can understand your frustraion some of the answers i have seen have alot to be desired......... and on the other hand ive seen a few that are concise and correct........ i look at it this way....we can learn alot from each other....some people have been on this yahoo train along time and they learn alot.......... if you dont get a satisfactory response to you question..ask it again.till you do...you might ask it when someone with alot of yahooey knowledge sees it and can respond with a satisfactoy answer for you.

I would like to think that I do. I've often read a question and thought "I know that answer", but then I read the question in full and other people's answers and hit back because I clearly in my mind don't.

I only answer questions that I've had personal experience in. Most people aren't looking for the EXACT answer. They're just looking for different perspectives, opinions and advice.

About the same percentage of people who ask reasonable, non-insulting questions.
