on what grounds do anti-abortionists support their cause?
Here is something I dont understand. Only in regards to America, on what grounds can anti-Abortionist defend their stance and propose laws banning abortion. Because if they are basing their stance off of the bible, wouldn't this infringe on seperation of church and state. I don't understand how they are able to limit a freedom that every woman (or parents) should have. And this freedom is written in the Constitution in the 9th amendment (when interpreted). So do the opposers stand on the grounds that abortion is murder? Because still even this issue has been debated on when to consider a fetus a living human. I know that in Judaism, the rabbis specify this issue, but once again isn't that mixing church and state. So if it is murder on which they stand on, who has the authority to determine what is considered murder or not. In my opinion, I believe each individual should be able to constitute their own definition as to what is a murder of a fetus. What are your opinions?

First, separation of church and state is NOT Constitutional doctrine. It only forbids the establishment of a state religion. Only extreme revisionists claim that the US was not founded on Judeo-Christian morals. And, yes, those who are opposed to any form of abortion say life begins at conception and termination of any pregnancy is murder. As you say, this has been debated, but neither side will agree that it has been decided. Any legal opinion that is reached will be rejected by one extreme or the other, or by both.

First sorry no seperation of Church and state, take a minute and read the real constitution, the government can just not make laws restricting religion or have a national denomination, religion.
And abortion was based off of a fasle or bad rulling ( supreme court rulings have often been overturned in latter courts) it has nothing to do with right ot privacy, and should have never been ruled that way.
And no, if that person was in a car wreck on the way to have a abortion, and the "baby" died, the perosn who caused the wreck can be charged with manslaugther of the baby.
So the law already accepts the baby is alive, esp in later trimesters.
And the supreme court has the authority to determine if it is murder or not.
And just watch a late term, partial birth abortion, no one could say it was not murdre, the little baby born except for its head and its head is crushed or its brain sucked out.
If you did that to an animal you could be charged with cruelity. we treat dogs and cats better than babies

If each person gets to stipulate what constitutes murder of a "fetus" then each person should get to stipulate what constitutes murder of any aged person then we could all go around and murder anyone we want to. It should be my choice whom I want to murder. It is not a Solely religious issue and no where is the term separation of Church and stat used in the Constitution. Murdering an unborn baby is as bad as murdering anyone else.

Maybe they think the baby has rights. Maybe just their presence prevents women from using abortion as a form of birth control.
