Is there something I can take that will help with cramps in my feet and charlie horses in my calf's?

I get them at night in my feet and my legs in the morning. I have tried stretching and walking before bed, but it does not help. I am taking

calcium as the pharmacist said it would help.

I've heard that drinking 8 ounces of tonic water every evening is supposed to relieve muscle cramps. Read it in a magazine a long time ago.

You also need to take magnesium for cramps (one milligram of mag for every two milligrams of calcium is a good dose). Also eat at least 3 servings of fruit a day for extra potassium. Until your cramps are relieved you may want to take equal amounts of calcium and magnesium.

    Good luck.

Vitamin B-complex , vitamin e, potassium (just eat some bananas regularly). Stretch your calves by pulling your toes towards your knees and holding while you count to 20.

Quinine is what is used for the leg cramps. I do not know if it is still sold, but it was an over the counter product. You can also try some quinine water.

I used to get those when I was a teen. I would have to get outta bed ,stand facing the wall & put my toes on the wall to bend them straight up while keeping my leg straight & my foot flat on the floor.

try cod liver oil capsules. The vitamin E should help. Also make sure you are drinking enough water...dehydration can cause cramping.

you are lacking salt in your body. If you cannot have salt in your diet try gatoraide or any sports drink. I take a teaspoon of salt and they go away. I have also used Aleive to relax tired muscles
