It's hard to choose, but my favorite has to be "Vertigo," because it's almost like two stories in one, also kind of a ghost story.

My second choice would be "North by Northwest" because of the snappy dialog and the evilness of James Mason's character. I love it when he says, "When all this is over I'll be free to dedicate myself to your happiness," or something like that. Cary Grant is totally hot and the dialog between him and his mother is a hoot.

My favorite Hitchcock film is Marnie, filmed in 1964 starting Tippi Hedren and a very young Sean Connery! An underrated film that is very smart. Check it out if you haven't seen it.

Rear Window, Psycho, Rope, The Birds....oh, sorry, you said one. I CAN'T PICK JUST ONE. He's my favorite. North by Northwest, Vertigo, The Man Who Knew Too Much....there I go again.

    Birds

Yes I know that it is common but I first saw the movie in fourth grade. You would think it was a little early right. So that movie caught me and made me like Hitchcock.

Psycho, I actually saw it uncut and uninterrupted and it was an absolutely terrifying film.

That horrible remake should be sent to the bottom of the bog, along with Marian Craig's car!
