Newer Dishwasher leaking?

We have new DW at our cabin & thought it leaked, too! Turns out it's just condensation as the floor is slate & is cold. Could this be your problem? It shouldn't be much water, if it is. otherwise, I think the seal must be seated improperly. Good luck!

We had the same problem-the washer was turned on but not long enough for leak to happen. Turns out the seals/gaskets had dried out from lack of use-there is a reason for that small amount of water to remain in the bottom. Because of the age of the dishwasher and cost of repair, seller of house paid half the cost of the new unit. You may have recourse against seller or the inspector. Then again new dishwqashers can range in price from a couple of hundred of dollars to several hundred.

Also, was there a warranty on the dishwasher?

It could be the way it was loaded. Nothing can protrude down through the bottom rack to prevent the wash arm from turning or it may churn up the water and cause it to come out the bottom of the door. The same for something like a large bowel on the bottom rack causing the water to churn up.

You may have an old box of detergent whose suds inhibitors have deteriorated or your dishes may have a trace of dish soap on them and that can cause leaking.

You say it worked fine during inspection so I am led to believe the dishwasher itself is probably not at fault or you would have had water at that time.

Probably it isn't on the supply side. Itcould be a couple of things. One is simply improper loading. I had one that if you didn't load it exactly right it would dump water on the floor. The other likely problem is the drain line. It generally goes over to the sink trap and drains from there. It is possible that something has lodged in that line and is causing the back-up.

If it does it everytime then it is proably the latter. If it doesn't do it everytime then it is likely the former.

Could be several things. Check the seal around the door. Or it could be a supply line probably one of the fittings.

I would say, without looking at it, your dishwasher is broken.
