Some people already do, you know. There are people who are able to set aside prejudice, at least on a person-by-person basis.

Unfortunately, race, religion, and lifestyle often encompass pretty radical behaviors that can't fail to separate and divide people. One can make the case that some of the more extreme behaviors are designed to alienate others. As well, extremely differing lifestyles are the result of differing economies, which are hugely disparate around the world.

So, I guess, when everybody can put aside their extremism, whatever its origins, we'll be able to find more common ground with one another.

We're entering into an era of global interaction on an individual level. English, the 'language of commerce' like it or not, looks to be becoming the language of the global community. The Internet already provides us with the method, all we have to do is be able to speak the same language enough to start communicating. If we find we all have more in common than we do dividing us, average people may be able to succeed where heads of state have failed, in making peace. Eventually.

Once they choose to. People cannot be forced to love each other. The best way is to ensure that our children our exposed to people from all backgrounds. This will allow them to understand that the real difference between people is that some are good and some are bad. Hopefully, as they grow as adults, they will learn to choose their friends based on this premise and not on stereotypes, etc.

  • Somewhere between the 22 and 23 centuries. That is when humans will harness the power of warp drive and the Vulcans will come down and visit us. Then, and only then, will we realize that we are all one race, the Human Race.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! NEVER. Suck it up dreamer and join us in the real world. People will ALWAYS invent ways to be prejudiced or intolerant of one another. The best we can expect is a little peace some of the time in a few places.

Given the scalding hatred from Republicans,I dont know.

They will respond to that with manipulating the question that I as a democrat MUST tolerate ANYTHING they say or do,no matter how bad.Wrong.

Love? I'm afraid that's a bit much to expect.

How about 'tolerate'? Maybe we should work on that first.

sadly it is human nature to fear what they dont understand. a white person can never fully understand what it is like to be black and vice versa a straight man will never know what it is like to be a gay man. untill human nature changes its just not possible.

Don't hold your breath...as soon as one group or organization starts getting some acceptance someone will start hating someone else.

Probally never, I'm not like that but based on what most people are like I'd say never.

When the let go of fear, bigotry and hatred.

And to do that, people need to stop seeing each other as groups or stereotypes, and start dealing with each other as individuals.
