Foolishness or Faith?

have seen probably 4 doctors and 2 dentists for the pain and swelling in and behind my ear....I am certain of the cause but they all say it's something else...None have helped! I am disappointed and tired of seeing doctors...I now am choosing to ask God to heal it...Do you think it can happen for me or is it a foolish to trust God for this?

If someone told you, "In order to prove your faithfulness, you must not allow a mechanic to fix your car. You must trust God to do it."... would that seem reasonable to you? Probably not. If you had an arm torn off in an accident, would you expect God to inject Himself supernaturally? Or would you go to your nearest emergency dept.?

God has given us the ability to learn and to apply that learning in areas such as medicine. Going for medical help isn't a denial of God or a sign of our unfaithfulness. It's utilizing the abilities that God gave us.

God works in many ways, but most often He works through people. Having said that, God is also capable of working in spite of people and limitations. Trust Him to help you whether through medicine or supernaturally, but continue to use the medical resources that are available to you.

Acts 28:9 And after this had happened, the rest of the people on the island who had diseases were coming to him and getting cured.

In the Bible there are two ways that God overcomes sickness. One was the miracle of healing, the other is the miracle of a cure. The difference is in the Greek words used to decsribe the events. The "cure" is the word we use today for "therapy." Luke was the physician for Paul; Paul had healed many by the power of God, but he needed a doctor for his own infirmaties!

I recomend that you folow the recomendation of your primary care provider. Having received answers you don't like you have to decide whether you believe the doctors or not. I say this is their specialty, and they know these things, we do not.

If you think its foolish to trust God, then of course you wont get healed. I mean God would love to help you, but you cant question his ability if he can do it or not. And yes it is Faith, the word of God says Faith Can move Moutains, I mean if you just have a lil faith about God healing the pain behind your ear and trust that you will be heal, sit back and watch how God move. Dont take my word for, Try God.

Don't give up. Continue to search for a doctor who will understand. Praying for God to heal you is a good thing. But perhaps praying that He will lead you to the right doctor is better. It is true that God can heal you, but He may use a doctor to do it. Your part is to hang in there and keep searching for that doctor. I will be praying for you.

Foolish. It could be a spreading infection causing lymphadenitis (swelling of an infected lymph node behind your ear). If so, it's not something to take lightly and it doesn't respond to prayer. If they have given you oral anti-biotics and that hasn't worked, you may need intramuscular injections, maybe even an antibiotic intravenously. Stay on the docs till you get a resolution..

Miraculous healings are not being done at this time. I suggest, however that doctors are not the last word in healing either. They are not required to study nutrition and therefore you might be better off seeing an herbalist who can perhaps help you to heal yourself nutritionally.

I don't think that its' ever foolish to trust God, but I think that you should see an expert to heal your pain. Try to find a new doctor that you might feel comfortable with. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

It is foolish. However, the human body is a remarkable device. If you believe that YOU can heal it, you may be able to. But, god has nothing to do with it.
