what would cause someone to gain weight doing any excercise, but lose weight lieing flat and still for hours?

i have done tons of exercises and imediately gained weight during and after the time i do these. i have even dieted while exercising, but gained weight still. if i lay still for hours lieing flat, i lose inches fast. does anyone know why this happens? i think it may have something to do with swelling because my hands swell when i walk too long. what can be done that i can get exercise and lose wieght without becoming a vegetable in a bed?

exercise adds muscle which makes you heavier. It is possible to gain weight from exercise, that is basically what body builders do. Conversely you can lose weight by doing nothing simply from the deterioration of muscle. That is what is going on with me right now. I have not exercised in months since my daughter was born but the pounds have continued to drop. The difference is that my body is not toned like it used to be. I am thinner but I am out of shape. Hopefully you're not! And, based on what you've said you are concerned more about the number on the scale than the actual size and composition of your body. As long as you are the size you want to be and you like how you look, the actual weight should not matter as much. So unless you are actually growing fatter by exercising, which I think is impossible, you should keep it up.

Well it is determined by what variety of workout you are doing! If you are doing aerobic, that's going for walks or utilizing a stairmaster (something its referred to as :p), you can be burning energy and shed pounds! If you elevate weights or do any form of force coaching, you can start constructing muscle. That is, in case you continuously do it. If you are force coaching, you're nonetheless running off fats, simply after a at the same time it'll begin growing your muscle tissues' force and dimension, inflicting an expand in weight. So in case you wish to shed pounds, do approximately half-hour of aerobic in step with day, and frivolously force coach to rid off extra fats with out constructing muscle! Good good fortune! :)

When you are doing exercises you are building muscle mass. i.e. building up your muscles. When not exercising you are losing muscle mass.i.e. losing the muscles you built up.
