Birth control pill question!!! 2 days after?....?
THis may be a little TMI but I need answers!!!
I take birth control pills and have been very consistant on remembering my pill by setting an alarm for every night at 9pm.
2 nights ago my boyfriend and I made love and caught up in the moment, he finished without a condom. (please dont preach, I know, I know)
Well last nite I somehow in my busy-ness totally forgot my pill until I remembered it during my 11am-11:50am class and immediately took it.
People are saying I SHOULD be ok cause I've been consistant but I want a second opinion just in case. Thanks a lot you guys

You should be okay if you've been taking it consistantly. You took it as soon as you remembered. If you don't get your period this month, take a pregnancy test anyways. Birth control does NOT harm early pregnancy or cause abortions so, if you do find yourself pregnant and do decide to continue the pregnancy you do not have to worry about taking the pills without knowing you were pregnant. Also, if you find yourself continuing to forget your pill, perhaps because of your busy schedule. You should see your doctor about other forms of hormonal birth contorl such as the Ortho-evra patch, the Nuva Ring or the Depo-provera shot. Good luck!

If you've taken them long enough then you're fine. There's always a chance that you can get pregnant on birth control pills even if you're consistent. I forget mine all the time!! I've forgotten 2-3 days in a row! So, don't worry about it sweetie, you'll be fine!

You never know because it depend on individual body. Some women does not knew that their productive system already damaged by the prolong taking of the "pills", find out too late to have a baby. In your case, please check it up with your doctor and don't play, play ! Always have protective sex of calling the man to put on a condom, that is a "win, win situation for yourself".

Actually if you read the paperwork that comes with your pill most of them will tell you that you have a 12 hour window in which to take your pill, so you are fine.

Missing one pill's probably not going to make a bid difference. If you were to miss like 5 or 6, then yes, you should be worried. But one shouldn't cause any problems.

my girlfriend take her everyday like you and forgot once she just took to the next day. thats what the doctor recomended. So a few hours that you didn't take it should hurt.
no preaching here but it good to see that you two are being safe.

Hi Christina, I think you really should check with your doctor. I did this (forgot for 12 hours) and got pregnant. They can test for pregnancies as early as 1 week old.

you'll be fine... as long as you have been constantly on it for a month... it is ok to miss a pill, just as soon as you remember it, take it with the pill for that day.
