here's my idea: get a kennel. i have four dogs, and each and every one of them is kennel-trained. you can get them at pet stores for like fifty bucks, and they are worth every penny. my dogs know that at a certain time at night, it is time to go into their kennels, and that once they are in their kennels, it is time to sleep. they will even go to sleep if you put them in their kennels in the middle of the day! and by far, the easiest one to train was my puppy when i got him. he was only six weeks old, and we had him kennel traind b4 he was even house trained! and in a kennel, you can put little chew toys in there so that your pup can pre-occupy herself. That is what we had to do for the first few months of my pup being kennel trained, because like babies, they don't usually go to sleep and just stay, they nap. If you do this, and takt the time to actually train her, i guarantee that it will work. Have Fun!!

Try playing with her outside if you can. Get her really active-chasing you, chasing a ball, playing tug of war, etc. If you do this for half an hour or longer before trying to get her to sleep it should tire her out. I have a West Highland pup that is around the same age and I have to take her out to play every night before bed. Also make sure she has done her toileting JUST before settling. She may be waking up because she has to go to the toilet but more likely because it is not her usual home. I think she will get used to it there eventually so give her time. I kept ours in her kennel at night before she was toilet trained but now she sleeps at the foot of our bed. Perhaps if you get her snuggled in beside you she will feel a little more secure. My Westie was a rescue so she was really insecure at first and the snuggling has really helped. Lots of hugs to your pup and you. This is what having a baby is kind of like .

We constantly take our puppies with us on holiday and keep in puppy pleasant inns. However, if this isn't viable, the puppy sitter or neighbor course is more often than not the first-class. At least then your puppies are in acquainted atmosphere. I used to paintings in a boarding kennel and I could by no means in 1 years enable my puppies to stick in a single. Most of the folks who labored there knew not anything approximately puppies. Sometimes the puppies didn't obtain their treatment and weren't taken external ample. They had been customarily disappointed and scared within the kennel. Some kennels are very noisy and the puppies there can capture illnesses from different puppies within the runs don't seem to be competently sanitized. I quite felt sorry for the puppies who stayed there. If I had no alternative in any respect however boarding, I could take the puppies to a veterinarian's workplace, even though this may also be relatively costly. The puppy sitters I realize customarily cost approximately $25-30 in keeping with day. You can ask your vet to endorse a puppy sitter whom he is aware of, so that you're going to no longer ought to fear approximately getting any one who can be a main issue. Your pets can be extra relaxed of their possess house.

Like most animals, a full stomach and warmth should make her fall asleep faster. It could be she is just too curious because her surroundings are unfamiliar. Try at home having her sleep beside a ticking clock and take it with you when you travel and that sound should make her feel more at ease.

You need to keep her up as late as possible, that way she will sleep later. Try to force her to stay awake until 10 or 11.
