RIP Gerald Levert?

Sad. Ver, very sad. I saw levert in concert with New Edition, Karen White, Al B Sure, in the 80's. Levert kicked asss! Gerald was like a fun down to earth guy you looked forward to seeing at family reunions. Pop Pop goes my mind is one of the best slow jams ever. I feel so bad for Eddie, to outlive his son. Unfortunately, many people don't know who he is, he wasn't a household name like Luther or Barry White, but he had a powerful voice that will be missed. I haven't been this upset since Roger Troutman of Zapp, and Gregory Hines died. The R&B community needs to make another song like Nightshift by the Commodores, dedicated to fallen R&B greats.

Definitely gone to soon. The Levert family are in my prayers.
