Has anyone bought Josh Groban's new album "Awake" yet?

After such a long wait, I L*O*V*E it!!!

Especially February Song... the chorus is phenomenal!! After watching the clip explaining the song on JG's website Weeping gives me chills. The first few times I heard You Are Loved (Don't Give Up) I thought it was a little saccharine, and repetitive but it's growing on me. Now or Never, So She Dances and Machine are kinda catchy.

As for the foreign language stuff it takes me a little longer to get into those (I need to go on a website and read the translations, see the lyrics and sing along a few times before I really "get" them.) I can't pass judgement on them after just hearing them in the car a few times.

I figure anyone who calls him a "one trick pony" just doesn't bother to take the time to pay attention to what he's really DOING with these songs... some of them at SOOOO musical and VERY challenging!!

The only thing I don't understand is why make the title track of the CD a bonus track on the "Special Edition" ??? I bought the special ed. and Awake is a great song. (Hearing it for the 1st time, it made me cry while parked out front of my daughter's daycare on Tuesday. It was her first day there and with just a few days left before my maternity leave ends, the whole idea of being apart was very poignant right at that moment.) I haven't watched the DVD yet.

Also, I love all things Josh Groban so having all these "editions" is a little frustrating. I don't understand how internet editions work (Is it still a physical CD that can only be ordered online? Is it a download?) I wanted my CD immediately... November 7th... and I wasn't patient enough to figure it out and potentially face a delay for it to get to me in Canada. (Plus I wasn't sure I wanted to pay an extra $12 + U.S. exchange for one song) but I would've really liked "Smile" too. Kinda makes me wish there was a CD-single for it... seems like a bit of a $$$ grab...

I think you may be right though about preferring Closer... I can't quite tell yet if I like Awake as much as that. (Of course I went and saw him in concert in Feb 2005 on the Closer tour with my hubby and came home from our trip pregnant so I'm a smidge biased in that department :-)

My heavens, I certainly not had been flashed, however I did accidentally flash a couple of humans as soon as. I used to be within the health facility a while again and made up our minds to take a stoll to the merchandising discipline. Well, I wasn't considering what I used to be dressed in and, permit's simply say that the ones health facility robes do not go away plenty to the creativeness at the bottom. The nurse got here up from in the back of me and positioned a blanket over my shoulders . . . I used to be thinking about why it used to be a bit drafty again there!
