What is the best DSL carrier ?

I don't want Verizon or Charter. Other than them what is the best way to get high speed internet without all the problems?

    Don't get Embarq/Sprint. I have had them for 2 years and since Embarq officially took over here the service has been like dial up. I get booted offline and I am tired of it and they told me if I ended my contract I would still have to pay until it is up.

    Your local phone company would be the best bet for a carrier. Some may not allow you to get DSL without a phone line with their service though.

    Not all of then are perfect! Try AT&T.
