Anyone have Sugar Gliders?
Mine have bread and they have two joeys in the pouch. I want to know how long they will stay in there. They have been visably noticable for about six weeks now.

I have 21, The joeys will spend approximately 10 weeks living and growing inside the mother's pouch. Towards the end it will emerge often and cling tightly to the mother's back. After about 16 weeks joeys should be completely weened and independent of their mother, But DO NOT try to hold the babies and take them out of the pouch, the mother has nipples inside and as soon as the babies attach to the nipple it will swell inside the mouth so you will seriously hurt them! Good Luck with the new babies and hold them as often as you can when they come OOP (out of the pouch) because they will easily (un)attach so get some bonding in. Make sure you get some protein into the mom though such as eggs and mealworms cause the babies need a good bit especially with 2 eating from her. once again Good Luck!

Those things are soooo cute. The only thing I can think of is talk to the pet store or go to a book store and buy or order a book about them.

Looks like the guy before me answered pretty well! I have 4 suggies, but no babies. I recommend going to http://www.sugarglider.net/ - it's an excellent forum I frequent any time I have questions. Tons of helpful and knowledgeable people!

I had one, it was mean, it didn't bond with me like it was suppose to. I took it back to the pet store after about 2 months.
