I heard good things about them in central nj from a good friend of mine who had them do their whole house earlier this year. They were cheaper than the carpet companies advertising on tv, etc. too.

I have an even better solution for you perhaps. Go to Home Depot or a carpet store and find what you are looking for. Most places will let you take carpet sample books home to look at too.
Then get the numbers, who made the carpet - get all that info & then call a carpet place in Dalton, Ga - the carpet capital of the world - give them the info & they can get it for you at about 1/2 the price! The will ship it to you (if shipped - you do not pay sales tax and the savings on sales tax pretty much equals the cost of shipping).
They will time the shipping to when your installer will be there to pick it up & get it installed for you.
Great savings! We saved about the $2 to $3000 when we did our house.
Good luck.

the things you need to look at -- the companies or people home depot uses are sub-contractors for home depot- and in my opinion, its a great business model b/c they supply you with the material and the people to install it - however, its been my experience that no matter where you buy the carpet from that company will also install the carpet or recommend someone for you, carpet outlets are going to have a better selection and you'll be able to actually talk to someone in the carpet profession, i would definitely do my due diligence with carpet purchase and installation, my assumption is that you just started looking for carpet if you're considering home depot as the place to buy your carpet -good luck and do yourself a favor, shop around

Depends, my friend had her carpet installed by a Home Depot contractor and she liked it, HOWEVER, when I look at her carpet, I think it's terrible. She's had it for about three years and all the corners are pulling up. It bothers me but it doesn't seem to bother her. Also...
I just saw a report on NBC news talking about how terrible Home Depot was because some of their contractors over sell or just don't do the jobs properly, but that was on roofing. Don't know if it applies to carpets.
I guess it all depends on the contractors in your area.

Home Depot is great but you can do better. All of Home Depots contractors have been drug and background checked so call Home Depot and ask them for a list of their carpet installers so you can check them out with the BBB. Then call them direct to do your install. Cut out the middleman

They did a good job on my carpet. It's not their own people - they just hire a local contractor, so your experience may vary.

I think you could do better going to a carpet outlet.
