Any suggestions on how to make home look like a gingerbread house?

There is a little house near me and every year they decorate their house and it looks like a little gingerbread house...TOO CUTE!

What they do:

They put lights on their entire house -

They outline the roof in one color

The house is outlined in a different color

The windows are outlined in another color

The front door is outlined in yet another color

They have the light up candy canes lining their sidewalk and driveway and two little light up gingerbread men standing in their front yard.

Their decorations are nothing bizarre or fantastic but every year they are on the news and everyone drives by their quaint little gingerbread house. It's wholesome and so cute!

Good Luck to you...remember sometimes less is more. You don't want to get too over the top or your look won't come across the way you expect it to.

You can buy sheets (large sheets) of starfoam(thin or thick) at home depot, etc and spray paint them and attach them to the sides of the house and yes.. othe star foam things to put in what looks like marshmallows, etc etc.. but it is going to be somewhat expensive and a lot of work to tie everything in and attach everything
