The passage is not comparing intelligent quotients, but vain thinking in regard to God. The logic of the world is deficient in comparison with the truth of God. They will never comprehend it.

After researching this for some of the morning, I would come to the conclusion that the studies are inconclusive as to whether those that are more intelligent are less religious. We cannot use the US as a base, as this country is the most religious among DEVELOPED countries. Our religious ferver is likened to those of third world, developing countries. This is a fact.

Gleen what you may from that.

In a study of scientists, more scientists (especially those in the fields of biology and physics) tend to believe less in god than most people.

However, I believe many people are lying when it comes to their beliefs as they want to be more socially accepted.

My personal belief is that the more educated you are, the more you question prehistoric beliefs in and question the logic that is religion. But, there's always exceptions to any rule.

In this case yours, because you have a personal setting near the top where you can segregate the answers you wish to see, and lately it seems to have been defaulting to those with a higher rating than -2.

It seems most people did not read the entire question.

Religion and intelligence are not mutually exclusive. In fact, intelligence makes for better religious people. The kicker is when you think you know everything, and that isn't true intelligence or wisdom, but "thinking he is wise". No one has the answers to everything, and the smart ones realize there may be more than one way to answer a question.

I consider myself intelligent, not genius, but I am a biological scientist. Also I am very religious.

That's a good answer, I have a slight recollection of reading that passage... time to open up the good old KJV Bible again eh?

I decided to add something. What do you think the Pope is a moron or something? Have you ever had a conversation with the president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints? They are all very intelligent people. (I think that would have been my answer to the question you are questioning your answers thresholdingness to.)

A great gap exists between having intelligence and being wise.

They do not have to be linked for one to have knowledge or for one to use gained intelligence but, they must be linked by discernment and love to become wise.

Personally, I think it is a PERFECT answer to the question that was asked.

Threshold? But to be frank, I find neither the question nor the answer very deep. Both are surface thinking.
