Any ideas on where to get data sets for SAS?

I'm doing a research project on elderly suicide, and need some independent variables; i.e., income, social status, health.

Interesting question, but I'd have no idea. You could try locating researchers who have worked on suicide by looking it up on google scholar. Next, consider emailing those researchers (emails are usually included in scientific papers) and ask if they would be willing to send you some data.

Also, many scientific journals now include the datasets with the manuscripts so you may not need to contact anyone (you'll just need to find the right paper and download any supplementary files that include data).

    Good luck
