Points can bring you up to different levels and give you endless time of asking questions! I wish we had real prizes though!

You get absolutely nothing with the points. In fact I wish they wouldn't have the points. I could care less. I think that there would be more serious questions and answer's if there would not be points to this Yahoo Answer's.

I guess its the satisfaction that money can't buy. Perhaps if u have earned many points, u can spend them on asking sensible questions and receive helpful answers for ur contemplation.Then ur points will be deducted. Happy Q&A!

If you click on the number of points you have (look to the left of your screen, just beside your avatar), you'll find a table that shows what 'rewards' you get as you gain points... and how to get them.

YOU JUST GET ANOTHER LEVEL BY YOUR NAME AND GET TO EARN MORE POINTS TO GET TO THE NEXT LEVEL. IT'S GETS A PERSON HOOKED WHEN THEY DON'T EVEN CARE ABOUT THE POINTS. AND BY ANSWERING QUESTIONS AND BEING THE BEST ANSWER YOU CAN EARN POINTS WHEN YOUR NOT EVEN HOME. I'VE EARNED BEST QUESTIONS AND BEEN GONE ON VACATION. THAT'S PRETTY EASY AND FUN TO FIND OUT YOU'VE EARNED 100 POINTS.

ya, you can get prizes, and you get to answer more questions per day, and rate more of them, ect.
