I am against ILLEGAL Immigration because everyone now thinks that the words are synonymous with CRIME and HISPANICS in general, you can move here and be completely legal. The word immigrant now means illegal to this society, I feel bad for people that work hard to take care of their families. It IS heartbreaking, and things are so bureaucratic that it is nearly imposable for some one to go about things the right way, and quite frankly Hispanics ARE NATIVE AMERICANS , we are indigenous and have ALWAYS been here and WILL always be here.,( The idea of an Asian free Japan would seem ludicrous right??? Well there ya go...) BUT it can be done. My parents did it, and they learned English as well, BEFORE coming here. We never had to work for ANYONE, we have always owned our business and have NEVER asked for a hand out from the government ( which BTW more Anglos are on then us so get off it.) So here I am, completly and proudly bi-lingual, fairly intelligent and going to school to become a teacher, my sister is in pre med and I am treated like a criminal because of my surname and because I am exercising my right of free speech to use whichever toungue I want all because this goverment can't do it's job right. {{{{{ sigh...}}}}} maybe I'll move to England.

No i don't it it's right..it's illegal but I don't think this country could not very well function without illegals who get paid piss-poor wages to do jobs no one else wants. there are people who say that if illegals stopped coming in then companies/employers would have to start paying real wages...perhaps, but that would cut into their profits no? and that will be passed on to the consumer, right? God forbid we mess with the all-mighty dollar. I don't pretend to have an answer. I don't believe that illegals will drain our social security system ,etc. we've been doing that all on our own. The majority of people who come here illegally come here with honest to goodness desire to work and live better lives and unless you are a native american, then thats most likely the reason your ancestors came here as well. Why shouldn't they have a chance as well? This is such a complex issue though I really don't thnk there's a simple solution to this. from my own personal experience, I can tell you that I'm a 1st generation American and darn proud of it. One of my parents came here legally from Cuba and the other illegally from Mexico. They are both now US citizens. They have worked their butts off, paid their taxes, bought homes, cars, put their kids through college and basically lived the American dream. They've never been on welfare or taken a handout EVER. Immigrants can have pride and be successful if given a chance.

I am answering on behalf of my husband who is Hispanic. I am American. He came here legally but over-stayed his work visa making him "illegal." When we decided to get married we wanted to do everything legally and right. He went to Mexico and I applied for a fiance visa for him because we had been told this was the fastest way. His visa was approved but then at the consulate in Mexico (we both flew there) his visa was denied for his "crime" of over-staying his previous visa. This wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't been for the fact that the government KNEW this information prior to giving their "approval" to our application. I came home with no fiance and he risked his life to cross the border illegally to meet me. It took him 3 months to get here be he finally did. What do we think about illegal immigration? We think it's about the only way a Mexican can get here.

honestly i think its just fine because we are taking all the jobs that the all lazy white people dont want to do (i am not saying all white people are lazy, i am talking about the ones that ARE lazy)

you dont really see white people building houses or being janitors at school cleaning up kids vomit and food off the cafeteria floor

and we are just trying to make a living for ourselves and trying to raise enough money for our families and trying to get a new start

so yes i think its okay

Source(s): to the girl below me DO NOT call me "gal" and well if your just trying to make money for your family and you just move here then you dont get into college right away because we arent rich people [so quit being so judgmental i am stating my opinion because the person asked FOR MY OPINION so yeah] note: $2 here is $22 dollars in mexico so that would be alot of money for a mexican family waiting in mexico for their loved one to send them a check p.s. why dont you quit being so rude you dont know what its like and you dont understand the problems we have to face so just stop the conversation here because i already reported you
