BT Yahoo Homepage v Yahoo Homepage - IE7?
My ISP is BT Broadband and their BT Yahoo homepage/browser is not compatible with IE7 (I received numerous error messages and was advised by the Helpline that I should revert to IE6 ; the Sidebar has a message that it does not work with IE 7). If, however, I go to the Yahoo browser (i.e. not BT), which I can using my BT username and password, they advise me to upgrade to IE7. What's the difference and why should one be compatible and not the other?

You can use IE7 and enter the internet via your IE icon instead of using the BTYahoo login. Funnily enough I have just been working on a client's PC who's computer was calling for an IE7 upgrade so I installed it and realised that although they should be compatible they will only run smoothly together when you click through IE and not BT.
The Yahoo browser is not essential. Change it to something else. Try changing your Tools/Internet Options/Homepage to www.google.co.uk instead.
