Of course a gift from the heart would be best....but what does that mean exactly? Well, my X whom I was with for 7 years, drew me a hot bubble bath with candles, insense, and soft music. When I got out of the tub he had writen on heart shaped pieces of paper trailing down the hall all of the reasons why he loved me, which ended right in front of him standing in the livingroom, where he presented me with a home-made boquet of paper roses. (by far the most and really only romantic thing he had ever done)
My current boyfriend is a poetic, romantic type...
I would love for him to write me a song or saranaide me.
I would love a poem written just for me or for him to read me a book on tape (I love his voice)
So my question to you is this: What about YOU does she love, and how can you turn that into a gift with meaning?
Could you put together an photo album of the two of you together (feel free to ask your mom or sister for help on that one)
Maybe recreate your first date together
It doesn't have to be spendy or flashy, just sensere.

How about a weekend together at a nice hotel and a day spa together. You check in without her and set up the room: rose or some kind of floral pedals leading from the door to the bed; and on the bed...I'll leave that up to you.Hope you can find someone to watch the child.

Why can't you marry her? She's had your son, you've lasted 7 years and clearly you love her. Marry her.
As for another gift idea, just in case, I like anything with pictures of us. Make a collage or find a beautiful frame and have it engraved. There's a place that does really cool stuff with pictures so check it out.

A romantic weekend together. Set up a babysitter. Pick a place she'll really enjoy. Do all the work so all the has to do is pack her clothes. I don't know if that would ever get old.

You can get her 27 roses..and tell her you will love her until the last rose dies. Make one of the roses fake (the fake rose will never die = you will never stop loving her) Ask her to marry you! You've been together 7 years and you have a child together..what are you waiting for?

seriously, i'm a female and even after a long relationship, it's still about the man putting forth the effort to make sure that what he gets me is what i truly want, that in itself is gift enough, let her know that you truly love her and if your'e ready- 7 years is a long time, maybe you can propose, you probably know her well enough to make that step, so if your'e ready, go for it- that would probably make her really happy!!!! good luck!!!! i wish you two only the best:~)

you start her off with a bunch of lovely little presents like chocolates, bath soaps, a teddy/turtle, maybe a little pic of a turtle and then get her a really great present like a baby turtle.

How about an overnight hotel stay... with a nice hot tub no kids, bottle of wine, back rub, romantic dinner alone.
