How do I care for my dwarf poinciana after it blooms?

I grew them from seed, but now that they have flowered, there are long stalks with seed pods - if I cut them off, will is still grow and bloom? (live in TX)

    if its the one with the thorns, yes prune it back. They really respond well to pruning and get too leggy if you dont
