What female artist or band did this cover of a "Cameo" song?

I was watching TV (maybe CSI or some other show of that ilk) and heard a female singer covering an old Cameo song. Possibly "Word Up" or "She's Strange".

Please respond only if you have a possible answer of song and artist. Brownie points to someone who can name the show too.

Thanks for the Korn response. However Korn isn't it. Already listened to that one on Yahoo Music and confirmed it wasn't it.

I didn't recognize the song at first because it was a bit softer or soulful than the original.
