Do you think we can recover from 12 years of Republicans?

Update:

Thanks Snakes, I do remember and that gives me hope. But, remember how the Republicans took credit for the booming economy during the Clinton year by saying it was from Regan's trickledown economics? They truly believed it too.

Update 2:

If you ran for president dorian... you would have my vote :)

I think the real question is: can we as America ever come back to our senses and be America again? real patriots, begin with dumping ACLU and cancel their charter, put God before, nation next, family above all, American pride, ingenuity, industrialism, production, winners not whiners, winners not loose-rs, bold not cold, brave to stand up for what is right for all not just the few, force by vote both parties to focus on America not their own interests, be aware of what they are voting/acting in both Houses where we send our Rep's, take charge of what is placed in the curriculum of our schools and not be "jello's", be brave to take part not to sit back watching, use the Constitution to make the proper changes BACK to been America..."the land of the free and the home of the brave".................................

Source(s): Bless you friend, for I feel you are a true American.

But look what happened to Clinton's booming economy before he even left office. He rode it for all it was worth but the dot coms disappeared and so did the economy. The downturn began in July before he ever left office. I hate to see what the dems can do to the present day economy and employment records. But they are dependable.. taxes will go up and the government will grow and the spending will increase.... Unless Bush uses his veto pen a lot more than he has done in the past six years.

You must be kidding. You're wrong if you attribute the economic boom of the 90s to Clinton. When he was finally ousted from the White House (You know, when he and Hillary were loading the silverwear in their suitcases) the economy was crashing. Now I keep hearing idiots saying "can we recover". I'm sure you can. If a Democrat were elected to the presidency we'd recover from low unemployment, record gains on the dow, low taxes, low interest rates, and the economic boom were haing right now. We'd go back to high taxes, high unemployment, more welfare, stock market crashes and all the other things that Democrats cause.

Yes. It has happened before. remember bill clinton inherited record budget deficits and high unemployment from 12 years of poor republican leadership. He balanced the budget in only a few years and got the economy booming again. As for Iraq, there are no reasonable solutions. It will just take time and the outcome is unpredictable. we just have to wish for the best. I have hope.

If republicans give Reagan credit for the booming 90s then they must also blame him for the 2 year recession from 1990-1991 which cost Bush re election. During the Reagan years tax receipts as a percentage of GDP decreased every year debunking their theory that tax cuts increase receipts. You gotta take the bitter with sweet. But convincing neocons of that is like finding the needle inthe haystack.

I am thinking yes. At this moment we have a large percentage of the American people wanting the same thing as well. Democrats need to be careful they don't fall prey to the same distractions and pressures that got some Republicans in so much trouble.

Anything is possible. What we as the voters need to do is vote the people out that are "piggybacking" and taking the lobbiest money out of office. Dishonesty is one of our biggest problems. The other problem, IMO, is that there are no middle of the road guys left; they are either liberal are conserative to the extreme. Recovery is a long road and we have the power to speed up the process.

Netta hate to mention this but Dorian sounds like a conservative. But your right he has my vote. Before we get another Clinton that pardons people wanted for illegal campaign contributions, gets away with lying to a Grand Jury, and makes you forget that we spent years in Bosnia and had 5 major terror attacks on his watch too.

What do you wish to recover from? Unemployment at 4.4 even with a minimum of 12 million illegals. No inflation, record stock market highs, tax revenues at an all time high. All of this despite an attack and a devastating hurricane.

Sure we can......Rome recovered from Nero. Berlin recovered from Hitler. Give us a few years and maybe we can control the damage Bush has done during his years as president.
