How can I remove cooking oil stains from my clothes?

If you dab some Murphy's oil soap on it before you wash it it will come out. I used to work in restaurants and got stains on my shirts all the time. It works great, promise.

If I have an oil stain, if the fabric is colorfast I rub liquid hand soap into it. Let it sit, rub occasionally, add more if needed.

Wash, do not put in the dryer, hang to dry. If still there, repeat.

I have used liquid hand soap to remove motor oil, cooking oil, and henna dye from clothes. Might take a few tries, but its worth it for a garment you love, or was very expensive.

Stain Removal Step 1.

Remove as much excess oil as possible with a dull knife or spoon.

Apply 3-5 minutes to allow it to go completely through the fabric.

Use liquid detergent to rub through the stained fabric.

Allow the garment to sit for a few minutes.

Wash in the hottest water safe for the fabric. Check tags to determine what water temperature to use for washing.

Rub some Dawn dishwashing liquid on the oil stains. Allow it to soak in for about 10 minutes, then wash as normal.

If it's fresh, try putting baby powder on it and letting it sit for awhile. The powder usually absorbs the oil. If not, try Oxy-Clean, that may work. That stuff is amazing!
