after how much time i should make a pregnancy test?

my last per was on 16 last month and i had unprotected sex but my husb didnt ejaculate inside me.my per didnt come until now.i had a test today and is -ve

    Most home pregnancy tests will give you a result on the day you expect your regular period to show up. It's best to use your first pee in the morning when doing the test because your urine is more concentrated then.

    Most doctors recommend that you wait until the first day of your missed period before taking a home pregnancy test. This is usually around two weeks after conception. However, some tests are more sensitive (and more expensive) than others and can be taken earlier.
